Home to the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough, Blenheim Palace is a World Heritage Site and is famed as the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Steeped in history, the magnificent Palace is surrounded by over 2,000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown Parkland and beautiful Formal Gardens.
We’ve teamed up with Blenheim Palace to offer you the chance to win a pair of tickets, which include access to the Palace State Rooms, Park and Formal Gardens and the fascinating exhibitions which bring history to life.
The Blenheim Palace Tours programme for 2016 is full of new and engaging experiences. Visitors can discover three new tours at Blenheim Palace, Upstairs Tour, Downstairs Tour and Private Apartments Tour. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore never-been-seen-before rooms, discover fascinating insights into the work habits of staff past and present and to see the private bedrooms where the Marlborough family have lived and been served. Each Tour details a different side of Palace life.
The year 2016 marks the 300th anniversary of celebrated landscape gardener, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. It was his approach to present a landscape that appeared natural but was in fact 'nature contrived' that helped the Palace gain World Heritage Site status in 1987.
To complete the perfect day out Blenheim Palace serves fabulously British food sourced locally and made fresh on site every day. Why not treat yourself to a Churchill Premier Afternoon Tea served in the new Orangery Restaurant overlooking the private Italian Gardens?
