To celebrate Her Majesty’s 90th birthday, see three unique exhibitions which together present over 100 dazzling dresses and outfits worn by The Queen; at the Palace of Holyroodhouse (until 16 October), Buckingham Palace (23 July – 2 October) and Windsor Castle (17 September – 8 January). Fashioning a Reign: 90 Years of Style from The Queen’s Wardrobe presents the largest collection of The Queen’s dress ever on display and can be enjoyed across these venues along with access to the stunning State Rooms and Royal Apartments.
Continuing the 90th birthday celebrations, Royal Collection Trust have produced an official commemorative range of china, on sale at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, the Palace of Holyroodhouse and online. Made in Stoke-on-Trent using methods and techniques that have remained unchanged for 250 years, the range includes plates, a teacup and saucer, a pillbox and beautiful limited edition memorabilia. From the development of initial designs and creation of individual moulds, to the hand-finishing with 22-carat gold and manufacture of the special packaging, the production process encompasses the skills of over 50 individuals from several factories at the heart of the English Potteries.
